Follow these 10 guidelines. Your video will be rejected if key criteria aren't met — but don't worry, retakes are free!
Position your camera at eye level, roughly arm's length away. Your face and upper chest should fill most of the frame.
Use natural daylight or a ring light. Light source should be in front of you, never behind you.
Use a clean, uncluttered background — a plain wall, bookshelf, or professional home setting works great.
Dress as you would for a hospital interview. Scrubs (clean, solid color) or business casual are both appropriate.
Record in a quiet room. Speak directly into your device's microphone — earbuds with a mic work even better.
Look directly into the camera lens — not at your own face on screen. This creates strong eye contact with viewers.
Speak clearly and at a moderate pace — not too fast, not too slow. Project confidence and warmth. Smile naturally.
Keep your video to 60 seconds maximum. Videos over 60 seconds will not be accepted. Aim for 50–58 seconds.
